Fly skyward, but burn not like Icarus.

Icarus and his father were imprisoned on Crete. His father thought of a plan; he made them wings. He warned his son not to fly too high: the wax between the wings would melt. He were not to fly too low either, for the sea would make his feathers wet, and he wouldn't have been able to fly. Icarus was too proud and obtuse, and flew to high. The wax melted and he fell to his own demise.

North is one of those songs that calms me, but makes me think. You can think about anything when listening to this song, you can connect every emotion to it. And that's why I chose it. The interpretation of the Myth of Icarus is your own to make.

Once you are nearing the end of a tunnel, you have to close your eyes before you step out into the harsh sunlight. Close your eyes, and it will not harm you. Leave them open, and you might become blinded. Don't let pride and confidence take control over you, but wait until you've adjusted. Don't do too much at once, don't take too big a steps, and you'll be fine. Trust your own judgement, everyone has different eyes.
